Eloise & Co.
Fiddler Becky Tracy and accordionist Rachel Bell–among Vermont’s top treasures–invited Quebecoise pianist Rachel AuCoin to their ongoing Eloise & Co. party and produced
avec Elodie, a lively instrumental romp through Bal Folk, Celtic, New England, and French-Canadian traditions. The record came out in September, 2025, and ranked No. 14 the next month on the Folk Alliance International radio chart. Take a listen.

Eli West is no longer the brilliant young musician. With two solo CDs and another three with Cahalen Morrison behind him, with The Shape of a Sway he’s become the master folk troubadour he was destined to be, and we’re all the richer for it. The recording’ dropped in July 2025.

Leo Shannon (fiddle). Here’s what Fruit Tree’s Fresh Juice blog says: “Morgan & Shannon are indisputably delivering the good jelly aplenty, in all its down home, unplugged, warm, grainy and authentic glory.” The Kentucky duo launched the CD in October, 2025.

Open The Door For Three

Open The Door For Three (Liz Knowles on fiddle and hardanger fiddle, Kieran O’Hare on uillean pipes, and Pat Broaders on bouzouki and vocals) their archeological practice of unearthing ancient tunes and reviving them for the 21st century, with dynamic rhythms, arrangements, harmonies, and the soulful magic of their musical community.
Genticorum
Roots Music Canada called Genticorum‘s 2023 Au Coeur de l’Aube an “amazing and evocative album,” while Folk Alley, after praising the band’s musicianship, wrote “Each band member has a unique and beautiful singing voice… (and) has worked harder than ever on perfecting the powerfully complex contrapuntal harmonies that mark French-Canadian song.”
Laura Risk
Acclaimed Montreal-based fiddler Laura Risk‘s 2023 Traverse, is a musical journey into the heart of traditional fiddle music that resonates with nuance and vitality. Its 10 tracks draw from deep immersion into traditional musical communities, as well as a curiosity towards innovation and exploration. Laura’s distinctive sound and compelling interpretations of traditional tunes are intensely personal yet grounded in meticulous archival and ethnographic research.
Sami Braman
Known from her work with longtime Pacific Northwest string band, The Onlies, and as touring/session player for Willie Watson (David Rawlings Machine, Old Crow Medicine Show), on 2023’s Riveter, Sami Braman celebrates the fiddle with a playful journey that, over the course of 10 tracks, draws upon traditions from Appalachia to Ireland, Cape Breton to Norway, and beyond.
